Springtime weather watching becomes a bigger sport than the game

Challenge: How to stay in touch with everyone concerning practice and/or game cancellations due to inclement weather when springtime weather watching in Colorado becomes a bigger sport than the sport itself.

Solution: Last year on the day of an "away" game, CallingPost allowed the team coordinator to send a message to team member's cell phones when they were traveling north into the bowels of a nasty storm. Although the storm had dumped a huge amount of snow in the Denver area, the team's hometown of Colorado Springs didn't receive any harsh weather.

Benefit: The team coordinator who was already in Denver for another event was able to quickly alert team members that the games had been canceled and everyone needed to turn around and head back home because of the horrible road and weather conditions that existed only a few miles north.

"I've spent the last thirty years as a coach and team mother and the number one asset I have to work with is "CallingPost." I can't even imagine how much time it would take me to connect with fifteen players and two coaches. Last minute field or time changes can be made in less than 3 minutes. We have cell phones listed so people on the way can receive messages immediately. My team loves it and so do I."
